A foil to catch the fast but not yet powerful swell far from the shore?

What if you moved up and down the coast?
I’ve never been so far up north the landes, but I’ve seen a lot of variation some km to the south. High tide labenne is pure shorebreak, while high tide more up north can get you mushier waves. The only problem I see is that it quickly gets too big everywhere but around Capbreton and La sud in Hossegor

Of that video. I would just foil at high tide.

Can you clarify if you are using a FD or not? I seemed to think you are.

The R series from code have less drag, but are NOT faster foil sections. The S is a faster section, but has less glide. The X seems to be even faster, but I haven’t heard enough about it yet.

Yes I have a Foildive and use it most of my sessions.

High tide are always better, but sometimes there’s nice condition at low tide, so I’m trying to exploit those.

Yes moving up or down sometimes offers different conditions.
But I’m trying to milk my homespot which is 10 minutes away from home

You need speed, as much as you can get to keep up with the unbroken swells. That means high aspect low drag foils, I’m using Axis Fireballs, mainly the 1070 on the short fuselage and tiny Skinny 30 stab, got to get the drag as low as possible.

Low tide: I’d be going up to the waves in the top of the screen. High tide looks fun on a FD and a 720S or perhaps the new 810x (haven’t ridden yet but reviews are good!)
