Selling 4m and 5m Ocean Rodeo Glide A-Series (full Aluula frame) wings. Both were warranty replacements (OR is very good with warranty) and have been used for less than a year. 5m has a very small canopy tear that has been taped and works perfectly. No repairs or issues on the 4m. Includes a carbon handle in front and soft handle in back, which I have found to be the best way to ride these wings. Im thinking $750 each or $1400 for both (plus shipping). These are $1300-1500 new and are some of the best wings on the market. Update - Ill sell them together (with the carbon handles) for $1250. ---

Trying again. Ideally selling the 3/4/5 quiver together. 4/5 are both A-Series (full Aluula frame) and 3 is HL Series (Aluula strut). Will include 1 set of carbon handles, leashes (but I don’t have the wrist straps), and original bags. These wings are all in excellent condition. The 5m had a small canopy tear that has been professionally repaired by airtime and is both visually and functionally excellent. The others have never been damaged nor repaired. I will have these wings in La Ventana March 24-30 if anyone wants them there (willing to make a deal if I can sell them there), otherwise would need to ship from NY the first week of April. Was thinking $1500 plus shipping for the three wing quiver, but open to offers. ---

4m is sold. Will sell the 3m HL series for $275 (split shipping). Going to hold the 5m until I get my replacement wing, but willing to sell that in a month or two for $550 if someone is patient. ---

Bumping this. 5m is still available. Used fewer than 20 times and comes with soft handles as well as a carbon handle (I use it for the front handle). Will sell for $450 plus shipping. ---

Hey there Velocicraptor. Looking at picking up a few of these OR Glide A wings heavily discounted with OR out of business (along with a boom that I’ve sourced) or alternatively getting new Armstrong XPS or splurging for Core Halos. I see that you were selling a quiver of the ORs awhile ago so wanted to get your input/suggestion on these options. Cheers, Shaun ---

I haven’t tried either the XPS or Halo, so I can’t speak to the comparison. The Glide wings are excellent. Super stiff, as light in the hand as anything out there, flag very well. A couple things to be aware of - In general, they ride extremely well within their range, but there are wings out there that have wider range. They ride kind of small and aren’t particularly grunty and the small sizes get kind of squirrely if you are riding them very powered (this isn’t unusual for high wind sailing). I found the boom and hard handles could get kind of harsh when it was gusty - my solution was to use a hard handle in front and a soft handle in back, this allows them to spill the gusts a lot better and I much preferred that combo. While the A series and HL series design is a few years old at this point they still perform among the best out there. I’ve moved on to another setup, but the lightness in hand of the Glide A series gives is something special that I definitely miss. ---

Thanks for the detailed information. What are you riding now and why? I have heard from a local rider that he’s had bladder issues with his Glide As. Did you have any troubles? Cheers, Shaun ---

No bladder issues on mine. I got a couple of them warrantied, but those were an early batch and had some delaminating. The yellow covering peeled off, but FYI the yellow stuff is just UV protectant and doesn’t really have any other function or performance impact. Im on Ozone Flow/Flux now. The wind range is wider and I like the size spacing (I can travel with a smaller quiver), and upwind maneuvers are very easy on them. The weight, larger feel (very long chord), and slightly worse luff handle are the tradeoffs. They are a lot different than the glide, but not necessarily better. I travel with gear a lot and I can generally bring one less wing now which is kind of nice. ---
