yes I’ve got a V1 PR and the ears are collapse prone, and soft lines. Interested in a cheap way to revitalise it (Yes yes jog on mr user error please

How does the diameter compare to the standard battens? If it’s much narrower there could be fast wear all along the pocket.
it is only 1mm, so indeed abrasion might be a problem, and the tips are sharp so they have caps, at least naish has caps, and in their prototypes they had problems with these things sticking out everywhere, before they had caps.
you can get those in any size. but 1mm is plenty stiff
