To be honest I have been riding a lot of other brands lately. The 115 has not been used just because I would rather have more low end and ease when surf foiling. If I do end up using a ski or getting towed I would most definitely use the 115. But until then it’s kinda on the back burner.

You can’t really compare the glide of a 800cm² foil to that of a 1000cm². 115 glides very well for it’s size. So does the 125.

115 pumps great for its size. But if you are struggling to pump the 125, it won’t get easier on the 115.

Id say the 115 + 155 would work well as a quiver, especially if you are lighter than me (94kg). 115 is a blast in 5ft+ when there’s face and space to carve off it’s speed. I use mine with a medium fuse . But i still prefer my 140 in beach breaks or messy conditions and whitewash takeoffs.

I negative shim the 115. 155 on zero shim and 140 and 170 positive shim to get equal feel.

I love the 115, use it very frequently winging but it doesn’t have the pump of the 125.

just got a E135, coming from a P140, wingfoil. Use a P14 tail, medium fuse, +0.5shim, 85cm mast.

Loved the Evo’s glide and consistency through turns, but felt a bit pitchy on a straight line - any insights from other users on maybe using a different shim?

I find the afterburner 14.5 tail with +.5 to be more pitch stable especially at higher speeds

tried with the neutral shim, smoother at high speeds but much less lift it seems. wish I had an afterburner to try!

The larger quantum tail with zero shim pairs real well with different sizes of the Evo wings. I was using the afterburner tail for over a year and I havent switched off the quantum tail

I really struggled with the zero shim on the quantum 16 on the evo 175. I had to fight a tendency to nose down, resulting in a really overcooked back leg. I used a +1.5 and that brought this back to more natural feeling. I need to play with it a bit more, but it didn’t do anything that my previous smaller stab didn’t do, and was a bit too tracky in the turns. Maybe it’ll be different on the evo135.

I use the 16" quantum on the evo 155,175,235 with the same tuning. zero shim. It could be a matter of mast placement in the tracks or even foot placement on the board. I have plenty of pump with the zero shim. When i put a +1 on it reduced the stall speed and made the foil drop out just before getting up on foil when downwinding.

It could be foiling technique in general or the actual setup, but I always initially get up on foil with a wider stance and then I bring my front foot back significantly. that evens out both legs with equal pressure when pumping.

weird, I’m usually getting dialed to changes in the gear within 20mn or so, and being strapless I adjust accordingly within a couple of inches of the usual baseline position. Mind you, I think it was late June that this tail got delivered, and I didn’t get long days of wind suitable for tweak/test cycles. I’ll definitely dedicate more time to it on the months ahead. But initial feeling at 0 was that it was pushing the nose down way more than what I was comfortable with, borderline unrideable for me. The +1.5 I had in the kit brought it back to reasonable. Being on the heavy side can have some effect in terms of preferences, which could explain our differences.

</div>

It really could be a personal preference type of thing. Im only prone foiling and downwinding the evo wings, so the slow speed adjustment is probably the most important thing for me. I cant have the foil drop out on me right before I get past stall speed. Once i situate my stance to narrow the pump is real efficient.

third session, moved the mast back (a 7 on an armie ML, usually have 8 with the p140, so 1/2 inch back), shim 1 and never loved a foiled so much, could push so hard on turns, mind blown! thanks for the inputs

Since evolutions are on sale… 🤔

How does the 135evo compare to the 140p? Low end and pump…

For me the P140 has a slightly better low-end and a more forgiving pump. The E135 has a much better top end . I have been enjoying the E135 on the parawing (me 185lbs)
