Best Winter Destination for Foil Surfing?

Planning to buy a LiftX and travel somewhere in winter for 1-3 months to learn foil surfing. I work remote so it could be anywhere in the world. Any suggestions?

I’m not interested in also learning wing foiling so I don’t think I need a destination with a lot of wind.

So far I’ve only practiced carving on flat water on the Lift4 and haven’t surfed yet (apart from stealing a few boat wakes) but here’s a 7 second video to give you a sense of my skill level so far: https://youtu.be/mQOABKwf7C4

So not knowing much about surf foiling, I need a place where I can do “endless glides” right? Like in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vN-yxY7ooU These types of waves look beginner friendly, am I right?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

The best place would probably be in sanur Bali, get towed by an instructor or existing efoil with an instructor accompanied by a boat for 40usd an hour. Small to medium waves everyday. Side offshore wind everyday. Basically you could foil waves every day. It is the rainy season so low season only downside is that there is trash in the water and a big landfill 2km away that blows the trash scent right in your face. But I still prefer it over fiji. If you have an endless budget then staying for 15k usd a week on namotu would be good, but the wind isn’t as perfect as bali.

Oh, and don’t buy an efoil if you want to ride waves. You want to get towed or get a tow boogie. Equipment can get rented at most spots you get towed , or you can buy your own foil and board. AFS silk is one of the best options for riding waves.

What is the best season to foil in Sanur? Is there uncrowded waves to foil over there?

Is there companies that offers tow foiling in waves?

Year round, but right now the dry season is mainly winging or you can tow foil every morning when the wind is light. Note the waves are likely Bigger then the wet season, so you must enjoy mainly large waves and going straight for the most part. Wet season has better wind conditions for towing , you can tow all day long and generally smaller waves. The shoulder season is often considered the best time as the wind is the lightest overall. You can prone foil there at high tide with light winds. There’s a designated foil spot you can’t prone foil at the popular surf spots

HI there, Lima in Peru is an amazing prone destination, summer for the south hemi starts there in december .

You will find amazing conditions without the drama of staying Chicama, amazing restaurants and plenty of nice places to stay.

sorry answering from a new account, lost the other one.in lima you can surf the whole costa verde coast.its pretty straightforward, waves were until now, more for a longboard surfer , now I see then as foil paradise.

some guys are already giving personalize lessons etc.

well, frist you need to take another flight, then drive there.accomodation used to be cheap, no is not and there literally nothing to do there, its a sketchy place to walk around .I don’t say don’t go because every surfer should go there once in a lifetime, but don’t expect to find a Costa Rican setup or anything .
