Just got the first production kit, the Helix the 775 front wing 80cm 12mm tapered, and pivot 140 tail last Friday. Got some prone and sup foil sessions in the waves over the weekend and a downwinder in Santa Barbara channel on Tuesday and another downwind run in the central coast yesterday. Setup is feeling so good can’t wait for others to get to feel it for themselves. Super proud of what Matt has accomplished with their very first production foil, im in love with the 775.
side question - are you coming in at Mussel Shoals for this downwinder? Looks epic
This was mesa lane to little rincon that point south of laconcheta, little oil pier there, just packed dry clothes and sandals in a dry bag so we could ride to wherever we wanted and the conditions took us and then uber back. Maybe not the best spot to get picked up by uber but we got lucky and guy had racks and had board already on roof, knew we were good when he rolled up with board on roof and saw us and gave Shaka. The whole coastline is one big point break to downwind, super cool in central coast we more limited by headland into a bay so it’s liberating to just keep going and stop wherever. Want to go to Ventura
I logged a day of parawinging on one of their demo rigs a few weeks back. ATV 65L board, 80cm skinny mast, 775 helix x 140 tail on a proper 30+ hatch day. Super intuitive and easy to carve on. The foil felt really pitch stable and when picking up speed is so composed through hard turns that it really let’s you relax and surf better. No problems pumping the foil and linking up sections and they breach really well. Solid crew doing some cool stuff over there, stoked to see what else they have brewing!
