If the afterburners are snapping how is an even higher aspect tail going to hold up?
I’ve broken 3 of them and the other people I know that are riding them have also broken several.
That’s interesting to know. I thought I had broken mine after getting my leash caught around it… Did you get yours replaced under warranty?
Really common with axis high aspect tails also.
The KT tails are g10 construction I think? Is this more robust than carbon? I guess the atlas is a decent comparison to the AB and possibly quantum. Definitely seems to be a trade off with the thinness and stiffness advantages of carbon vs its brittleness.
How’s unifoil evo/quest compared to code s/r?
I’ve been running the afterburner chopped for 1/2 year and love it. I’m 200 lbs of breaking every thing I own and the tail has held up. It’s relatively new and I got it after the batch that had a lot of issues, which had me concerned until I rode it.
Paired with the evo 135 and short fuse it’s a lot of fun.
Anyways, anyone try the quest?
Biased but honest opinion… I have a quest 135. Spent a bit of time on it now over the last 2 months. Mainly pump foiling due to what conditions permit. But i have had a good hour winging on it, and a very fun upwind downwind parawing session on it. Its ability to harvest small and weak river energy bumps was phenomenal. the low end seems better than the equivalent evo size and doesnt seem to drop out/push through at speeds where the evo would. Very different pump cadence, and I had to knock it fwd in the tracks 20-30mm to get similar front foot pressure. Turning ability of the 135 quest was impressive and felt similar to the 155evo, when i was winging and parawigning it, I was pushing tip breaches as far out as i could, and I failed to make it vent and stall. I have just pre-ordered the 110!

I was just on their Progression Sessions call. They said they are starting shipping internationally today and they are expecting their shipment from China for the USA the end of the month . Dw 135 is delayed about 20 days
