Parawing packdown belt / alternatives?

I have the BRM 4m have been really enjoying it. After doing some DW runs and just holding it, I’m wondering if I should I buy the BRM belt, or try to make something myself to stash it. I’ve seen a few homemade mesh ideas out there. Does anyone have the belt? Does it work well for easy stowing on foil?

homemade mesh works well for me. BRM belt is more secure but mesh is easier and quicker to stash

Great idea to dedicate a thread to this. I just stuff it under my rash guard for now. Interested to see what everyone has come up with.

This looks interesting:

A rashguard pouch

indeed. would be ideal to have drainage though

Maybe just get the sewing machine, sheet of correctly sized mesh fabric, and go at it

Thanks… feel free to post pics / links. I tried making something but my DIY skills are lacking

another option from NSI.

I have this and it works pretty good.

My 2.9m Maliko disappeared out of my BRM Belt today so there goes my vote on that one… it’s a decent harness though

oh man that’s no good… did it come out while you were in the water ?

yup. I was using the 4m with the 2.9 stowed when it fell out

I ended up making this waist pouch from one of those fishing / sunshirts with stretchy material. Sewed the bottom seam using fishing line. Attached to a simple waist clip belt with zip ties. I’d like to remake it with a proper sewing machine. I’ve had probably 5 downwind runs where I packed away the BRM 4m and it worked nicely. It probably wouldn’t work as well with a larger size wing or the newer models with more material, but for brm 4m and below I think it’s decent.

Thanks for the tip! I just bought the same thing. Look like it will do the job, its light and strechy.

I think the. Brm waist works good, can swing around the back and it drains and can use as a leash belt for board too ( or hand wing)
