Ended up going with the Armstrong golf bag. I can fit either fit two boards (4’4’’ amos spitfire, 4’8’’ f one wing board 42L) NO FOILS.
Or I can fit one board. Foils and one wing.
it’s definitely a little on the smaller side but if you get what you need in it it’s great! I recently saw the mystic board bag at a local shop and that looked pretty sweet. If I could do it again I might choose that one but the Armstrong is good just can’t always fit everything which I guess is good at forcing you to pack light.
I’m from the states so just got it online here somewhere. I’d say that would probably fit. What foils you using? I was on lift and those with the mono block are a little harder to travel with but it seems a lot of brands are going that direction now anyways
I have the v2 Medium. It’s massive, fit’s the prone board and AFS foils. I’d say it could do with more structure as with my stuff it ends up floating around a bunch, but then you add weight.
In terms of travelling with a midlength, I’m pretty happy this year with the Creatures triple fish bag.
I got the 6’3 which fits my 6’4x22”x95L pretty snuggly with good spare room for foil kites and wings or parawings, although I carry the foil in a separate foil bag to spread the weight into 2 roughly equivalent bags around the 12-15kg mark.
No wheels, but a draggable reinforced surface if need be, and that keeps the weight of the bag very reasonable, allowing for more actual gear. Internal straps, dividers, external compression straps. It wasn’t cheap, but it looks like it’ll do me good for a long time.
There’s also a 6’7” version, but I thought that would potentially bust some size limits on some airline policies.
Not a proper foil bag though, you need to take the foil off, which I always do anyway.
Bought the Mystic golf bag for a trip to Indo recently. Fit a 4’3 prone board (in seperate LF cover), Lift mast, 3 x front wings, 2 x tails, 3 x sets of free dive fins, 2 x spear guns, dive masks, knives, towels etc etc… great bag. Huge. Well made.
The Armstrong wheeled bag will fit up to about a 4’10” wing board, a prone board, a couple wings, a couple parawings, a Glock, and plenty clothes. It’s a tight fit but you can do it.
I really wish brands would sell their boards with an included bag (Armstrong does) butttt add a velcro section at the tail and then sell velcro attachable wheel sets. Then every board you have, can be made into a travel. You can even use the wing as some sort of cushion. Or the parawing.
Maybe we have different sized bags but I disagree that you can fit those things in there. Mine is the “golf” bag. I’ll gladly take some photos or video if someone wants to see
