We need a French speaker who is plugged into that scene and this one enough to tell us what we’re missing. I know there’s a whole world over there with gong and I’m sure some other stuff that we’re missing. What are we missing!?

One of the biggest source of info is the discord group pimpyourride mostly started by Hadou Brunner, subdivided in threads of activities and brands.. Super active but mostly in french PIMPYOURRIDE

Discussions on gear that’s available there vs N America, Australia/New Zealand.
Lots of Gong, F-One, AFS etc discussions.
Not much on Omen, Gofoil, BRM, Cedrus etc
They often refer to some foil characteristic as “mania” and I have no idea what that means but I find it hilarious (“the foil has magnifique glide but is lacking mania”). That Hadou guy seems kind of serious for a guy who foils so much.

Mania is short for maniabilité.. maneuverability. Hadou is touching almost everything on the market

My favorite French term has to be “ressourcement.”
What is the verdict on latest high end Gong? Their foils are cheap as hell and I’d be interested in a Silk equivalent if you’ve seen any comparisons on the latest foil line from prone foilers
I specifically asked that since I’m riding Gong Veloce of various size.
No direct comparison comment from anyone.
I tried North, F-One Sk8, and can’t say it’s any better.
But I’m not a pro

Comes from “avoir de la ressource”, ability to get going again. Pumping out of a hole, regaining speed,… this kind of stuff

Im also very curious on the new Atmo collection from gong. I had the veloce v3 and fluid h and sold them because I wasn’t a big fan. But they say everything is new design and construction and I kinda want to get back to gong. Their prices are great, and with the amount of world titles and what you see their athletes do.. the foils have to be good
An axis to gong fuselage would be nice!
