What is your dream prone foil quiver if you could have any 4 front wings across all brands?

Well Axis has Spitfires and ArtproV2, so I guess that’s another way to suggest that they suck

I bought the code 850s as I was looking for something more than what the Silks offered at that time (for me), for super soft or small waves where pump is more important than turns.

I initially thought the code 850s was great, but realise I have completely stopped using it as it isn’t nearly as much fun as the silks. I also tried proning the 770r but it doesn’t surf anything close to either.

The silk 1050 pumps just as well ans the 850s, and is SO much more fun in any conditions that I would have used the 850s in. The range of the 1050 silk is amazing. I now just change stabs to match the conditions. My lift foils have either been loaned out or are gathering dust now too.

And now we have the enduro range coming :exploding_head:

yeah they are not going to make this list, their approach is for each foil to maximise one thing, and prone requires a super balanced foil designed by a very good surfer and they cannot get it right or don’t try, idk!

They have such a good niche thing going with the dockstart mega foils, they are the only company making a stiff enough mast to work with those foils, I’d do the same, as the demand is huge

I might have the chance to get a used Silk with or without the Silk 142 rear, I have a Progression 13.5 rear already. Did you ever get to try both and compare? Trying to think about whether I just buy the front wing alone.

Yes, buy the gear designed to work together. Start there. Change afterwards.

Not worried about going cross brand. This topic is basically a Cedrus Evolution what would you get thread.

My current quiver is pretty much my dream quiver:

Groveler/daily driver: Code 980S
Downwind/pump: Code 960R
Grinder for the good times: Uni 100

I use the katana mast for all, with a Stringy code adapter when needed.

Stringy makes uni–>code adapters?

He had one on tap when I contacted him a few months back. I’m sure he could mill one out pretty quickly

I have not gotten the silk rear yet but if I did I’d probably get the 132. That said, the P14.5 chopped has felt so good that I am having a hard time buying anything else to test.

I suggest if you do get it, order some m6x14 mm torx from Amazon, they work better than the ones it comes with…

These work well - I just got extras:

He had those in there originally, M6 though, and they kept loosening just a little. And upon cranking they stripped. The torx stay in place.

I always feel like I’m an anomaly, I’m drawn to glide and always go for “big” foils.
I’m 175-180 lbs, prone foiling and connecting slow SoCal waves.

Current quiver:
Groveller: Code 1300S - just got this and I’m a convert looking to get on more code stuff
Daily: Prog 170 - Truly the Swiss army knife of foils
Steeper Waves: Vyper 150 - old reliable that i recently sized down from a 190 for cheap.

Tried to replace the Vyper for “steeper waves” recently and just couldn’t find the pump out the back on other stuff. Spitfire 780 was just to small to pump but great for carving. Sk8 1050 just had too much drag for the low end speed threshold, had the same problem with the eagle 990. Lift HA 90 was great in power and effortless to pump, but not suitable for slow moving waves.

Last groveller wing was a Spitfire 1180, thought I would get into dockstarting last summer but there was waves everyday. It’s a fun wing to surf in micro stuff, starts really pushing back over waist high.

Future quiver add is Code 850 or maybe 720 for daily stuff

Might try the Duotone Whizz if Cedrus makes an adapter (in the works I hear)

How’s the pump of the Code 1300s vs the p170, considering the size difference?

The 1300 pump has more added pump and glide, slower than the 170 but not the drag of similar wings. It’s easier to go further than the 170.

what about 1300s vs. p200?

1201 vs p200?

Never tried the p200

Had a 1201, similar pump and glide but 1300 way more surfy.

Armstrong would be pretty easy to make as 4 wing quiver

HA780
MA1000
DWP 755
APF 1350

Covers pretty much everything you could want.
