2025 Koa Kai Hawaii DW Race Season

Thanks, appreciated!

Certainly interesting to compare this sport to something like Unbound (gravel cycling) or Western States (ultra running). Looks like Unbound got 350k views, and Western States 750k+ (just 1 week since) - both follow a news-desk w/ intercept format.

750k+ live stream views to watch people stumble around aid-stations tells me there is a good case to be made for a live stream… Kai Lenny could punt it to thousands with one post

Coconut Whatsapp says:

Just heard Keith Baxters boat will have a broadcast setup for the finish. He’s escorting Ken Winner to Molokai then on broadcast duties from Molokai to Oahu

So we’ll have to keep an eye out for that stream.

Any links to the live Paddle Imua foil race?

It should be happening any minute aka 11am Sunday July 13, 2025.

Starts 1 PM Hawaii time. Who knows who might or might not go live on Instagram. It’s a 20 minute race.

Paddle Imua:

Kane de Wilde :1st_place_medal:
Guido Ferrer :2nd_place_medal:
Kai Thompson/ Finn Spencer :3rd_place_medal:

Haven’t ventured on Instagram to look for more than that yet.

The finish.

Another Voyager WetFeet race recap. This time from Voyager Foiler.

As always Standupmag YouTube has good interviews. Here’s one. Click through to their channel to see others.

20-25 kts forecasted for M2M Friday!

Start hearting your favorites. We got DotVision for M2M!

Dot’s gave up around KM 20. It appears Kane won the SUP foil and Anderson Gallagher won the wing. Gabby 1st for the women’s SUP Foil. Annie 2nd.

M2M results are here. For the SUP Foil division ignore #1, she was a winger.

1: Kane De Wilde
2: Kai Thompson
3: Guido Ferrer

For the Koa Kai Triple Crown it’s based on your cumulative time for M2M and M2O.

Wow that was so close, Kane was leading most of the race.
Edo overtook him close to the finish. Very contrasting styles.

The jet ski and boat at the finish driving between Kane and edo definitely ruined any chance of Kane regaining ground.
