I’m interested.

I weigh 230 pounds and really prefer a stiff mast. How is the stiffness of the Afs mast for a bigger guy using the 1100 Foil?

I don’t really crank turns, but I love the skate field and surfing of the Kujira 1095.

How would the Afs compare in carve and turn category?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Due to low interest, I decided to chop the 1100 a bit. Mast is super stiff, and now the thing turns pretty well.

Happy to give you a screaming deal.

Chopped does not sound too bad if you know what you are doing.

I’m between upgrading to your AFS or saving up and buying a Mikes Lab 1000 in March.

I’ll need a couple weeks before I can pay due to taxes and all. Happy to send $150 now if you are willing to reserve your AFS for me.

How much do you need for the chopped 1100, stab, & mast?

Thanks and happy foilng!

I just noticed the mast is HR.
I’m really looking for HM or UHM mast due to my heavy weight.

Would you sell just the foil set without the mast?
If yes, how much?

Thanks

I’d send you the wing and 2 stabs for $400. Just want to see someone else use them.
I’ve got the silk HA43 and a KDRace.

Very generous, i totally understand.
I do not like to have gear just sitting when someone else could be foiling🤙.

I’m in, what is the next step?

Just to make sure, your fuse-mast connection is v2(“Fuselink”) not Tuddle style?

Loving the chopped HA1100. I call it my Pure Spitfure after I reshaped the wingtips. Now I’m looking for smaller stabilizers to help with surf/skate feel.

Dude, that thing looks awesome.

Proning with it?

Thanks, took me about 6h of sanding to get close to the Spitfire shape after the chop.

Have not probed only winging in wind chop. Has insane glide but take-off speed is faster than the Silk 950.

Prone would be good in chest to head high steeper waves to increase power on takeoff.

This would be my go-to foildrive setup. Crazy efficient and super surfy with a small tail!

that marlin tail looks way too big. maybe try chopping the HA43, it should loosen it up AND a little less drag

How did you finish the trailing edge? Just sanded it down?

Paul,

All the sanded surfaces were sealed with epoxy resin. For durability i used epoxy with carbon shavings in the resin. Then i sanded that into shaped and tuned the new resined areas. Used 1000 and 2000 sand paper and scotch bright pad to finish.

Tuning is the trick!

Yes the Kd Marlin Race is too big,
That’s why why I posted here - looking to buy Pure 135 or Silk 132, or Cloud 9 157.
