Has anyone heard of any foil related deaths or severe injuries yet?
Watching Austin Tovey do shuv-it’s and these guys boosting huge on wings I can’t help but imagine eventually the foil taco-ing and hitting someone’s neck/chest/femoral artery.
I believe there was also a lifeguard(?) in Hawaii a while back that had a gnarly cut across his throat and barely survived.
Counterpoint: Mikala Jones died from a surfboard fin to an artery. Sorry to always bring this up, but surfing is dangerous.
Kauai I think. He’s already back in the water and foiling again is what I heard from a buddy who lives there.
