Surprised that there are no news from the hood… apart from foildrive, whats new? KT’s has a race foil and mast.
Here are the only things Ive really seen. Agree the info has been pretty sparce.
- Appletree / Core single track prototype system
- Slingshot parawings
- Dakine Parawing
- AFS new (old) Enduro Sizes and wing
- Duotone revamped 2026 line
- Aluminum Cedrus
- KT Race Foil
- Code Aluminum mast
- Code surf foils
- Hidden FD board from Axis
- Bunch of FD integrated masts
I figured everyone would be launching new mid length foil boards aimed at PW… Not really seeing that
Axis has
Fireball 1500 which uses normal mast / black fuse
Fireball 1750 which uses a new mast and new fuse
Remember AWSI is for retailers and other industry people, not us peasants. The info will trickle down eventually. ![]()
Do you know if the new Axis fuse/mast for the FB1750 uses the same connection as previous masts? Could you use the new fuselage with an old mast or vice versa?
Any word on F-one updates? Specifically, any new foils or updates to foils in their lineup?
Seems like they’re pushing/marketing the plume and frigate but haven’t been seeing anything on foils or boards.
Could you say some thing more about KT DW foil?
Not that I’ve seen or heard anything from AWSI, but I got the impression listening to an interview with Julien Salles that in 2026 F one will be releasing a new 10ish AR foil and a new sk8 v3 that is also a change in shape (not just carbon layup).
Wonder why they don’t completely switch all their wings to this new titanium fuse. Looks very nice, the monobloc tail looks so good too
Price is probably the reason…
You have to love the Hawaii races for how they get the teams like Axis tinkering. Love that Frank sanded their masts down.
You also have to hand it to Adrian, willing to put in the effort and take the brand risk to launch progressive gear. I feel like they should do a collab like they did with Frank on the boards but to figure out how to get their foils to turn.
If you look at the FB group, ppl are starting to wise up to their red/black fuse being inefficient and word has got out that f-one / code is just better in every way. The sheep can only be blind for so many seasons. So the move to a more slimmer fuse makes sense, I wish the titanium fuse and front wing was monobloc but it’s already a huge step forward. Gotta give them credit also for that monobloc tail, it’s one of the things I wish my code system had. I hope they make everything with this new connection system, but likely it will be a very slow process and at this point it’s merely a point of entry to transition their buyers onto the new fuse. Would love to see Armstrong also update their system, but I guess they are doing so good in sales, there’s no rush to improve
It feels like a FoilDrive event! I expected this year to be all about PW… but no. Just FD masts, boards and integrated stuff. Whoda thunk?
yeah the foil drive story is pretty crazy, Foil Drive is going to walk away with this market.
Interesting, it’s an MR30 connector on both ends. Always on the lookout for a standard, that could be it. Aftermarket motors, battery upgrades, efoils etc just need to orient around that setup
I don’t think Axis has any issues of the sort, I personally don’t think you can fault any engineering aspect of Axis at all given how broad their range is.
The single and seemingly everlasting issue is their lack of general purpose surf foil, the Spitfire was fine but didn’t really do it as it didn’t snap into rolls easily in the pumpable sizes, and before that it was already an issue with HPS being pretty bad. It looks like they are launching something new, but it has a crazy amount to live up to if you consider the alternatives of KT, Flux, Code X, Sk8, Silk, Armstrong that are all so many generations of refinement in (or have the riders to accelerate the refinement), and they also don’t have a surf oriented mast. It’s a big task. I hope they figure it out
