Axis PNG 1300 V2 fuselage question

I’ve been light wind winging the PNG 1300 V1 and Short Red fuse for a couple of years. I’m considering upgrading to the 1300 V2.

Axis recommends the Black Advance fuselage for the V2. This would require moving the mast forward in the tracks, but the tracks in my Kalama E3 DW might not be long enough.

How necessary is the Advance fuse with the V2? Would it completely suck if I used the standard Short Black fuse that I presently use with my HPS foils?

I use the 1300v2 for LW parawing with avdance (not +) fuse and I have it quite far back in the tracks for my board (Cab Swift 5’8")

A mate has the E3 and uses it with Axis. He found the tracks too far aft so sourced a non advanced black fuselage. This places the wing further forward and overcame the track location issue.

I actually got to see a 1300 V2 up close. It looks radically different from the V1. The outline and centerline of lift are very swept forward. I can see why Axis says it’s optimized for the Advance+ fuse. It would look a little strange on a regular non-Advance black fuse, and I don’t think it would work nearly as well.

With the V1, my mast is half an inch back from all the way forward in the tracks. The mast plate has been drilled out to allow it to go an inch beyond the tracks, but that still isn’t enough to accept an Advance+ fuse.

I could try an original 40mm black Advance, but that would put the mast at the limit of the tracks, leaving me with no adjustability.

I guess I’ll stay with the V1 until I upgrade to another board with longer tracks.
