replying here as my question is more performance than safety @jenz this is great, will try it out as I’ve been looking for something like this. Related, something I’ve found difficult is knowing how far off the shortest line you are (sailing you use crosstrack error / XTE). [image] XTE helps because while the arrow points to where you want to go, it doesn’t tell you if you are improving on your course. If you only check the arrow every 10 minutes, you don’t know whether you’re on a better…
