FD mast position

Greetings
I’m 90 kg riding a lift surf V2 and board is 45L, and I really struggle to get enough speed to get on plane with the FD. Have slide way up toward the nose and butterfly stroke HARD to be able to plane and pop up. I’ve got the mast all the way forward (thought it would give the most lift).
Thinking maybe I need to slide the mast all the way to the back?
Seems like that board and foil should have enough volume to get me up on plane easier? Maybe bump up my volume?
Where do you have the mast?
Thoughts on my setup?

Cheers

The dimensions of the board matter a lot more than the literage - how big is it?

What size is your Surf V2?

Which foil drive do you have? Two blade or Three blade prop?
90kg on 45liter board will probably require some wave energy behind you

3 blade
Yeah think I’m going up to a 5’5 55L

That should be enough volume, but maybe not enough length. Try moving mast back. On a 45L Uni Quiverkiller w/ 3 blade prop I can flat water start at 85kg on Progression 125.

Thanks, that’s my next step

That board is tiny, short length is a real killer when trying to get going. Even Josh Ku is riding a board 12” longer and ripping.
I ride a 877sqcm wing on my 5’4x25lts but that wing is unusable on my 4’6 board.

ride a board 6 inches longer, same volume, and what a difference. length definitely matters
