Yes, but I must say I’ve had some amazing fun on the 980 in the right conditions. The key with Code is to use an AFS stab! Code surf stabs are all so massive and locked in. With the 980 and my chopped stab I have a lot of fun in waist high waves on a very shallow little sandbank this week. It’s nothing on the X for roll but it really unlocks them and they are better behaved than the X I think
