Has foiling improved your snowboard carve?

Because of foiling (and winging in snow/ice) I haven’t gone to a hill since 2021.
First time back yesterday (packed groomed East coast “powder” with man made base) and noticed:
-only took 1-2 runs to get back in rhythm
-snowboard carving (I ride hardboots) feels very similar to riding waves on foil esp the weighing/unweighting.
-Definitely more sensitive to the feeling the balanced edges pressure and weight distribution, fore aft distribution, staying centered over the board/stacked. I attribute that to foiling in waves.

Ditto for skiing but to a lesser degree.

I’m talking about hard carving on edge for both. General skiing/snowboarding/sliding not much difference

Yep 100 percent. I figure its a function of dialing in foot pressure. And in my case, my lower half getting stronger, especially my feet, shins and calves. As a result of foiling my snowboard carving has never been more fun. I can charge longer… In fact Ill go a step further. I bought a KORUA Dart because I felt like I could really step up my carve seeking. Its the most fun ive had in my 25 years of snowboarding. Cant get off the KORUA… I attribute a part of that fun Ive had directly to training on the SUPFoil. Sounds like Im not not alone!! Cheers buds.
