Wetted length would be better IMO. Everyones fuse is very different in thickness. The AFS fuse is really thin, the Code fuse is super thick. Wetted length never changes and is a very tangible thing for everyone to reference.
I mean, sure⦠but picking a standard would be nice. I feel itās full divided now.
I think even easier than standardizing would simply be disclosing how the measurement is taken. Then everyone can do whatever they want.
True, they donāt even do that. That wouldnāt be that hard.
Yeah I want that for everything. Mast length, thickness, chord depth. Hand wing spans, chords, weights. Board length, width, thickness, weight. I actually choose brands that disclose that stuff and pretty quickly skip past brands that donāt post that info because itās so important to my decision making process.
Yeah I feel bad for everyone who bought a 75cm code mast. Itās really a 72!(I measure plate to top of fuse). I like 77 so thst would be a code 80? I donāt know I pot my own masts so I dial everything in exactly where I want it but for sure every mm matters
Nah⦠It just depends on what you compare it to. Iām come from Axis and they measure very similarly. (Plate to bottom of fuse). So for me, I got a 75 and I know what a 75 should feel like. True that a 75 from Nolimitz, Cedrus, AFS or whatever are longer.
That all said, I want an 80 now for overall use. I have an 85+ as well. But the 75 is perfectly fine for most prone days here. And Iāll wing that too in flatwater.
