I’ve been riding the 900 with the 87.5 stiffy all summer in all conditions, winging only, mostly 3.5 or 4.0 with some 4.5 and 3.0 and a couple days needing a 2.5.
I’m also a 75kg winger.
I’m sure I could have ridden the 700 on lots of days but never had any issues riding the 900 and appreciate the low end and glide. It’s a very responsive wing.
Titanium fuse is great with a rock solid connection.
No worries about any corrosion with everything being either carbon or titanium. Leave it assembled as long as you want.
I have the new 800 mast now but have not ridden it yet. I pre-ordered it but I got sidelined with an injury end of July and out for the season.
I am a bit averse to large span wings nd don’t see a need for larger. I do see parawinging in the future so maybe I change my mind then but for now I’m content keeping it simple with one setup.
I have the 900 and 700. I’ve only ridden the 700 once. It’s a lot faster with higher stall speed. The 900 is very good all-round. It technically has higher stall speed and less low end than the 1050, but in practice i don’t need it. (My typical conditions sadly are 12-14 knots with a 5.5m wing so fairly marginal by a lot of people’s standard. I’m 80kg and right 60 and 75l boards). I would advise against getting the 1100. Get the 900 if you want all round. Get the 700 if you ride powered with a wing and want to go fast. If you go in marginal conditions I think you need the 900
At 165 lbs (75 kg) the 900 is pretty much a one foil quiver for me prone foiling. Great low end and top end. I’m not winging but at 75 kg I don’t think you would want to skip the 900 size.
