Anyone have any thoughts on the new ppc orbit parawing? Big wind range claims in the marketing. It is a double skin, which everyone else seemed to give up on, but maybe third time’s the charm

Their brake line trim idea is definitely promising, although there is nothing to be found with the claimed patent pending number 883068.
Sroka’s just released system has a similar effect but might make even more sense, at least for single skins or hybrids, as it is a dynamic adjustment of profile not static like the PPC.
I heard it scared away at least one company into backing off from production for their parawing.

I just rode my 3.5 for the last 35 min of light when a storm popped up. It handles amazing so user friendly compared to my hybrids. Jibes great! So the PAL definitely adds grunt. It puts it deep and will back stall if you don’t handle it correctly. However if you point downwind and start pumping with the bumps it gets you right up. The craziest thing is this wing doesn’t see to collapse you can run downwind with it or go crazy close to the wind. As soon as I got the foil in the air I would release the PAL as I liked out it flys open. It was really rough and lots of current I can’t wait for an easier day to really test it. I am completely sold on it. I would say low end is close to a single but not quite there. So my 3.5 had more low than my 777 3m but less than a 3.5. It has so much depower you can just ride a half size up and have a blast

Sroka indeed has an interesting concept, it seems to be inspired by looseleech in windsurfing, but Sroka takes it a step further in their parawings. Do you use the Sroka Fynix? Can you tell more about it? It seems to be quite unknown. Thanks 
3 types of bar movement:
- Twist
- Symetric pull (both hands)
- Differential pull (one hand in, other hand out)
Wings use 1 & 3. (They only use 2 when pumping up onto foil.)
Kites use 2 & 3. (They only use 1 when untwisting lines after a kiteloop or tack.)
Sroka’s bar system uses all 3. Maybe there’s still a future for unhooked parawing riding, but for any disciplines that can tolerate a harness Sroka is leading the way.

Only in theory. The 2 main reviewers have both not liked the execution. It sure does make the most sense though.

Right, the Sroka doesn’t seem 100% sorted-out.
But utilizing all 3 bar movements makes so much sense, and the tech is moving so fast.
Hopefully all the brands will have it sorted out within the next 1-2 years.
