My brother is trying to sell a Ffb dagger for $800. No one will even write him back.
Buy local. My local shaper can produce an excellent 110 liter board for 1200.
I got an expensive production board last year hoping for more durability, and was disappointed.
I’m not going back to production boards until the technology and price are aligned.

Nothing. People just won’t buy it. 7’5" x 20" x 5.5" Vol:110L
He learned to paddle on it, then bought a 7’10". I learned to paddle on the dagger. He bought an 8’2" and gave me the 7’10" So I’ve been using that and the Dagger is just sitting in my garage. One of them needs to go. Seemed like the Dagger would sell quickly, but everyone wants to pay $2000+ for boards now apparently. It’s in Los Angeles, CA if anyone wants to look at it or try it. Fully rail taped, so it’s great to learn on. More stable than the longer I’m using too.
The rail tape is peeling in some spots. There is nothing structurally wrong with the board though.

North released their mid price board, I imagine this will push prices down as only a big company can
relatively conventional specs, but reminds me a bit of the bullet in the belly section of it
looks like ensis is now in the downwind, midlength wing board, large prone, etc etc market
that deck pad is too narrow for regular humans. I really like deck grip to go rail to rail, and that leaves a good few inches free of useful leverage…also wonder about those hard rails and full tail, but that might just be preference

Demo’d one of these, very nice. Top of my list. Very stable, fast for the width. Suits me. If only.

Hello, nose down in flight equals to ease on the pump and more speed?
The foil that he used seemed to be at leat AR14, giving him stability at that tiny 15" wide board.
I feel that a bit of nose down helps with take off speed and pumping ability. I would say better of low end in general.
But when going at high speed, it can be hard on the rear leg and you have less control.
I personally always keep with the same tuning for one given plane.
Once I found something that works great allround I’m happy with it.
Downwind is complicated enough like that for me

I tried a 17 wide, and it was surprisingly easy for me @95kg.
So I’m not surprised that a pro with probably 20kg less managed to go with 15 wide.
Remind that having some width allow for stability when not flying, which you may need. My local run starts with a lot of backwash / reverb.
Plus you have limited grip on the foil for carving (no offset stance)
Plus at some point, you can end up with a board that is easy enough to take off a foil that you won’t be able to fly comfortably with. Sometimes going on size up ends up in a faster pace because you have more glide, and / or in a funnier (carving wise) run because the foil is easier.
