Wrist leashes that don’t have a double back closure! Awkwardly trying to velcro a cuff closed with one hand, especially while windy, makes me want to shoot myself.

Multiple shoulder tears from BJJ and rock climbing. Zero issues in years of winging, it’s much more chill.
Parawinging feels more likely to do it - hopefully that lessens as I get less terrible.

ok. My personal pet peeve in foil marketing. Websites hiding different foils under categories like “surf foil” and “sup foil” so I have to intuit what category a foil is under to find it on a website. Foils are foils for foiling

Influencers posting video of their recent trip to “Hood River” showing them ripping turns at Rufus (45 miles from HR), Blalock/Arlington (75 miles from HR) or the Hatchery (not even in the same state as HR).
Collectively it is the Columbia River Gorge.
The foiling in Hood River proper is actually total garbage unless you are a beginner, like flat water, enjoy foiling in the wind shadow of an island, or being paid to hang out at AWSI.
While we are at it, lets lock “influencers” in the room and toss the key.

E-foil racing? What’s the read on that? To me what I see is that it looks like it takes the inherently samurai sword nature of foils to their most ill fated use. I would struggle to be tempted by a casual grass roots beer can racing league tbh.
Not a fan either, but probably as relevant as DW racing in terms of gear development? Especially if we’re “all going to be whizzers in 5 years time”. Like F1 - somewhat relevant to tech development, driven by laser sharp athletes and huge money, completely worthless to the average commuter
But how relevant are the requirements of e-foil racing to any of us focused on the “surf” aspect of the sport (whether prone, parawing, wing, FD surfing, DW)? The racers are going twice the speed as I will in any session, are using foils that have zero relevance to me as far as I can tell. Im not at all involved in any of the battery powered aspects of the sport, but I’m not even sure e-foil racing is relevant to the guys catching waves on a FoilDrive (other than generating more revenue for FD who can then invest it into R&D in areas that are relevant). Im not involved in DW racing either, but I see a lot more trickle down impact from DW racing than I do from e-foil racing. Maybe I’m wrong?
