Smallest Foil Pump Success

I realize there are many factors involved here, but I am curious as to what the smallest foil is that people have successfully pumped in the surf getting at least a 2 for 1. Conditions: I will assume the conditions would be very favorable, i.e. light offshore breeze with a smooth surface. Maybe also include your weight along with the make, model, and dimensions of the foil. Thanks.

2 for 1 should be possible with most foils.

I’m a very average pumper, maybe even below average. But if I exit a wave with speed high on my mast I am able to connect on my AFS Silk 650 (medium aspect 8.0 AR) which is a terrible wing to pump. Now connecting 3+ waves on that wing? Not likely for me! If I want to turn and pump I prefer riding my AFS Silk 1050 or AFS Enduro 900.

For reference, I am 68kg.

Getting some milage out of my Uni 115 (740cm²) even though I’m old, fat an unfit 94kg. Exit wiith speed and keep high on the mast. https://youtu.be/pKz3jau7r_4?si=SydwfInJhDKMorB4

Same here.

I’m 75 kg

I feel like clean water makes a huge difference also. If in dirty short break conditions, forget it on the 650 silk.

In long period swell I have regular success now of pumping the 650 silk to connect the second wave. If they are a little closer together, I can generally get the third.

Nice, Thanks

Yeah clean water almost anything is possible, no reason you can’t keep going if the period is short and waves have some push and a clean exit.

Any mush and it’s a nightmare.
