I just purchased a 4m cloud and a 3m cloud one off the same review - have the same logic as you have going, 4 for medium wind, 3m for the 20knt plus stuff. I’ve had analysis paralysis with parawings and as soon as a budget wing with a good review came out I decided to stop deliberating. Goal is to learn the skills, what conditions work best for it and then make informed decisions on next para.
Total weight gain based on canopy material are the least benefit of a lighter material. Stashability and redeploy are where canopy material weight matter the most.
If it were me, i’ll definitely buy the Cloud over the Cloud One!
be curious experiences of buying/shipping a takoon PW if your in the US? as years ago bought a wing from gong and the shipping/customs was a pain to put it lightly maybe more easy these days?
