Trash-Bag Brands

Duotone is only double surface at the wing tip. Very last small panel. Reduces tip flooding when tip touches. Also improves flight characteristics.

Serious contender to the FlowD…
Best upwind angles i have seen i think.
About 45* between tacks, VMG of about 7kt?

It all depends on the spend as to which Parawing they go for. The Flow and BRM go upwind as well as a wing, I’ve followed a mate and couldn’t out point him on his BRM, I was on a Dlab.

Gong has set the bar low (but no real world reviews), BRM has set the bar high, probably too high in the current market but are probably still the lightest and easiest to pack.

The next few months will be interesting with north and Duotone bringing there offering to market which includes their distribution network.

Man I want to try more gong stuff but yeah, the distribution. If someone at MacKite could PLEASE learn French that would be great!

ok Kyle pushed me over the edge, just ordered a 3m Flow. Will be interesting comparing it to my 5m BRM. Looking forward to getting my first session on a 3m sometime in late March…

Ozone pocket rocket info video…$900 for a 3m via realwatersports

Actually looks pretty decently built…

How can you tell the difference between manufacturing? Is there something this one has that others don’t? I know nothing about kites or established kiting brands so they all look the same to me. When I buy it’ll be the best value for money & ease of use.

That’s priced a lot better than I would have guessed and looks pretty solid. Still 2.5X the price of a Gong Plus which appears to do the same thing

Sorry I meant to say, the design looks actually well considered. The bridle system looks like it keeps the profile in a great shape, the panels and cells are well designed. I know it’s just a promo video, but in flight it looks quite stable and smooth.

As for manufacturing, performance aside, everything Ozone puts out is well built from the fabric to the stiching.

I guess people were thinking that Ozone could have gone one of two ways:

  • Released something in a rush to ride the parawing craze
  • or release something more akin to a finished product.

Initially looking like it’s #2 :stuck_out_tongue: But time will tell!

It looks pretty much a well finished product! Hopefully I’ll be able to demo it in April… Not much of a worthy review cause I’ll be learning on it ha

ā€œSeen the new V2 BRM’s flying yesterday they look like a nice upgradeā€

For the price we paid and my experience with BRM I hope we get a Bridle Mod for the V1’s for better upwind!
