UK's version of The Columbia River!?

This is my local, The River Dee, located in North West England. Its a Estuary river that seperates the tip of North Wales and the Peninsula of Wirral. We have a massive tidal range here, up to 10m! So to get onto the water with a foil from the shore it has to be 8m+, anything lower, we have to walk 15/20mins out (blue line) to the Hilbre islands a hour before high tide to make the most of it. In this video, we are already behind the islands, playing where the best swell is (circled in red). When the tide starts to drop out and goes wind against tide, thats when the proper swell starts to kick up and they can reel for hundreds of meters! Such an epic spot. This session the wind was 25+knots WNW.

I remember windsurfing in Plas Menai strait.Tide was a huge factor there too.Do you ever ride there?, is it good for DW foiling?.

I havent myself but know people who do. Theres one guy, @gogfoiler on instagram who is pioneering some awesome solo sup downwind run around there.
