One of the drawbacks of wave pools or standing wave machines is the amount of electricity draw to make so many breaking waves. But if you made a foiling wave pool with a few chip in sections and no beach you could potentially just have waves reflecting off the sides and never breaking and would have way lower electricity costs.

Agree. The video is more interesting for the wave dynamics hence the posting.
