AUS road trip suggestions

Hey guys looking for some suggestions on a AUS tour. I have 3 months off January, February, March and I’m thinking about hitting AUS. Iv been before rode tripped Sydney to Brisbane zone. Got to foil Byron and snapper all the way down through kirra which was epic! Not sure you can even still do that now a days with the growing popularity of the sport and the pushback from surfers. Anyways open to all ideas. Ideally looking for prone, downwind, and normal surfing mixed in. Nothing crazy stomach to head high is good for me. Maybe west coast, Perth is windy then but no waves? Margret River zone? South cost Victoria? Or maybe go Sydney south?

Any and all info is greatly appreciated!!

The stretch south of Sydney from Wollongong to Eden is amazing. Pack a mid-length foil board, regular surfboard, some surf foils, & a quiver of parawings. You’ll be set.

Way less crowds, beautiful breaks, some really cool towns, and milder weather for that time of year.

Don’t expect overly consistent/big swell that time of year on the east coast but we do generally get a pretty consistent NE breeze in the afternoon during the warmer months which is plenty with a quiver of wings/parawings

Water is warm enough to only need board shorts but sometimes bluebottles will get blown in with the breeze.

Pretty much the whole East Coast is doable (Noosa > Eden) There’s definitely some specific zones/headlands that are especially good on foil but I’m not putting them on blast on a forum :joy:

Foiling is generally pretty well accepted especially if you have some etiquette/skill and not battery powered.

Eastern Sydney beaches (Bondi/Maroubra etc) are a no go while the flags are up.

If downwinding is a priority, I’d head west.
