I’m finding that with some of my foils I am struggling to lift out of the water in comparison to others that have similar or less lift. I think that a baseplate shim will help this. Has anyone tried a baseplate shim with foil drive?
With my Manta Take off, i have been using a 1 degree base plate shim between the mast and assist unit

Are you using a standard base plate shim or something specific to the manta take off?
Just a standard shim. Nothing special. I was tring to negate the nose up condition when first taking off. It basically seemed like I was too nose high when using assist.
