I’m thinking about pairing an Armstrong foil with an Appletree foilboard and was wondering if anyone’s tried this setup. Are the mounting systems compatible, and more importantly, does the performance still hold up well? Any issues with overall ride feel? Would love to hear your experiences if you’ve run this combo because I prefer appletree foilboards over Armstrong but also, I prefer Armstrong foils over the other brand. Thanks in advance!
Mine works fine, but I’m using a cedrus mast. The appletree tracks are fairly long, so you should be a ble to find a mast position that works with pretty much anything.
A friend did a track-position-calculation on my Appletree 7’7" to his Armstrong DWP board, and determined that the track positions on both boards were the same relative to the length of the board. Meaning, the front of the tracks were the same percentage of length from either end of the board, for both boards.
I’ve used 3 different brands of foil on my Appletree 7’7" x20, with zero issues.
