Cloud 9 trident monobloc

These foils look sick. Like code. Perhaps even a code 2.0? The guy one battle of the brands on a cloud 9. I think this needs some more attention. I’m a die hard code addict but you have to give everything notice especially since this one checks a couple boxes. 1) monobloc, 2) looks like code.

I was a Cloud IX ambassador/rep for a year (and this was when Code launched) and can tell you their foils are super fun. I’ve ridden everything in their lineup except the most recent 732, 1111, and now the Trident. I found the Cloud IX lineup at the time to be friendlier, better roll, but not as fast as Code. The release of the Darkside lineup at Cloud IX marked a change with them towards faster foils with the 900 being a standout and it’s cool to see them still getting after it.

Other differences vs Code:
C9 has m8 bolts where Code is m6
C9 has a smaller fuse
C9 is lighter

Happy to answer any C9 questions I can. @OmarFoilCol is also on here and knows the C9 lineup really well.

I’ve never ridden CODE - so can’t compare
As @Wouzel mentions, the new black lines FS-732 - FS-900 (which is actually an 860cm2) - FS-1111 and the first of this class to come out FS-1350 the profile - camber and dihedral shape was greatly refined and I suppose as the CODES - more glide/speed oriented, and still retaining that drivey carving they have, but gotta say probably the old FS’s 700 and 850 can roll easier since they are a little bit lower aspect, but won’t hold speed so well.

I personally from the new line of foils am a fan of the FS-900 for downwinding - 10AR - but I could squeeze 36.something km/h max speed (on my garmin) and one kilometer at 2:09 min/km which is my personal best so far even after testing some other foils - it was a big day (for our kind of conditions) of SUP DW and the FS-900 gave me a great low end range for easy take off and lots of glide and speed for such a not UHA foil… could be. faster, yeah, there are other faster foils, yeah, but not so sure at that AR level. Also felt really balanced which is a great improvement from the old lines of foils and stabs in C9 - with the new Catalyst series of stab - balance on the feet pressure is really sweet and comfortable.

I would really love to test that Trident some day - with the Catalyst PRO and the HM+ mast combo which is the top of the top from Cloud IX - should go really fast and really glidy.

The 1350 I tested just a few times, it was simply too big for me - but I really appreciated the lightwind days for winging with it - It was pretty fast for such a big foil and nimble in the turns, and as is signature of the FS line (Forward Swept) - the low end in the entire range of foils is beyond all brands I’ve tested so far - (let’s see how it goes with KT and the rear loaded camber).

Let me know if you have any specific question!
