Code S front foil with R stabilizer?

I’m looking for others experiences in riding the Code S foil with the R stabilizers. I have been riding the 980s with the 151R stabilizer and have been very impressed with the turning, pumping and speed if this cobo.

I’ve done the 980S with the 135R tail. Just one session though, couldn’t give an analysis. Just received the 120 tail, so next up is to combine that and the xshort and 980

I did back to back prone dw runs with the 980s, first with the 142ar (my normal tail), and then with the 135R. Conditions were decent wind swell and mixed fast ocean swells.

135R was noticeably nicer in keeping pace with the bumps. Not too much lost in the type of turning I was doing on that DW run.

I like surfing too much to use my R series front wings too much, but I think the R tails will be my go-to for ocean runs paired with S front.

DW in the gorge though it’s S front and back :star_struck:
Prone in waves no contest, 142ar tail over the R series tails any day.

I run a 135R tail with an 850s all the time when winging. I much prefer it over the 150AR. However, in the surf I do run the 150AR.

Prone? What’s your weight?

Opinions on the opposite? Any benefit to R front and AR tail, or does it just work better the other way around? Demoed the 770R/120R and considering it for a pump and link prone setup that can still turn alright. Wondering if there’s any benefit to the AR tails with this pairing.

Yes ^^^ Essentially the R tails have more glide and less drag so they’re also faster. The AR tails turn a lot better. I feel that’s really what it comes down to regardless of what front foil you use.
