Code Tail Mount Zeroed Shim Angle?

I’m going to eventually get a 3d print of the zero angle shim from Code for the fuselage, but in the meantime I have a full set of their shims. Does anyone know what angle of shim is required to zero out their tail mount on the fuselage?

That’s all the info I have. Maybe you can find it on there.

I occasionally use a flat mount KD Marlin on my Code fuses with no shims and my feet are in roughly the same position as my Code tails. Maybe a bit cleaner with their shim but seemed to work great.

Don’t think this will work in my case. I’ve been experimenting with no stab dock starts and it’s a pretty abrupt transition from my 120r. I’d like to try that credit card stab idea as an intermediate step, but the stock mount has way too much angle of attack and it’s hard to tell what flat even is.

I just sand down all the bits off on an AFS silk stab to fit the code pedestal and it felt terrible, my guess is that it’s not flat, or AFS is not flat. It didn’t feel like it had enough push.

I found somebody to 3d print me the code to flat shim, but before I was able to do that, I brought the code-to-flat STL model into CAD and measured the shim angle relative to their flat angle. I remember it being around 0.3 degrees, so I decided to use Codeʻs 0.25 shim which I did have on hand. Iʻve only used it with a credit card, so take this with a grain of salt, but it seemed fine. Try a 0.25 shim with your Silk stab and it might work.
