Does a thicker board affect the performace or feel of the ride for prone foiling?

Wow those Jimmy Lewis vids are a goldmine for diy! Im definitely gonna build my own board now.

And thx for the idea to use carbon tubes vs expanding foam. Def would love to make a light but strong board for sup/dw and prone too!
