Flatwater SUP and Downwind Foil Choices

Hi - I’m new to this forum. This is a bit long-winded but please bear with me! I have some general questions that I’m hoping folks can help with to steer me in the right direction. A little background on me - I used to live in Essex, NY on Lake Champlain. I got really into surfskiing on flatwater and especially on northerly or southerly downwinders in big swell on the lake. Now I live in Orford, NH on the Connecticut river and The surfskis have just sit in my garage unused for years. My young kids live in Burlington with my ex-wife and I recently bought a sweet 18" Rossiter powerboat. I purchased a Bote Wulf 10’ inflatable SUP on closeout at REI to use as a dinghy to get out to my mooring in early season when the lake is cold and I don’t want to swim to my boat (I can’t keep a dinghy on the beach) and I drive a Tesla Model Y and roof rack kills my range - so I have been enjoying the convenience of sticking the rolled up SUP in the trunk. Its also a 7 minute walk to the beach on trails to get to the beach where my boat is moored. I have also enjoyed paddling the SUP on the river near my house and on the lake but I realized I want something faster and high performance like my Epic V10L surfski, but I’m enjoying the body positiononing on SUP.

I also realized that I want to get into downwind SUP and or wing foiling since I can train with my powerboat. Also a tippy lightweight carbon racing SUP would be more fun on the river in flatwater and I imagine the balance I get from using such a board would help with foiling? Also I could put a soft roof rack to carry the SUP board to the river a short distance without having to keep a rack on the car all summer.

Then I’m thinking I buy a high performance inflatable foil for SUP and wing and towing behind my boat for training. Ideally this could fit inside the Tesla.

Doe this make sense?

If so any particular brands and models you might recommend? for both a rigid lightweight racing SUP (idealy $2-2500K) I’m flexible with price and am willing to throw down some cash if its worth it. For the SUP I don’t need to have the ultimate top of the line race model as I won’t be racing but maybe something just below that level with full carbon layup. Any recs on width? 21-24" range?

And in terms of foil - I imagine I want something forgiving? Any recs on a model? Would also be cool to have something my young kids could use as they grow that is top of the line. Once I am ready to hopefully do SUP downwind foiling would I want to buy a dedicated downwind foil or is there one I could use for learning and towing and eventually downwinders that is also high performance and inflatable?

Thanks for your help!

not entirely clear what the question is

Buy a beginner wing foil setup is possibly the answer as you can use that behind the boat and in the wind, and it will be inflatable

Try
Infinity Blackfish
Starboard Allstar or Ace
14’x24” is good for modest sized humans.

Foiling
Inflatables boards suck. Can’t go wrong with a Gong if you really want a blow up toy.
But you’ll eventually want a solid small board. Anything 4 foot to 6foot.
If you surf wake or tow ride behind a boat you’ll soon be riding a small board that will fit in the boot of that Tesla.

Seasucker mounts work good for Tesla
