Keenly awaiting your next video with some more feedback. It would also be good to hear from someone else incase you have some bias from being approached by them.

Upwind angles
Packdown size compared to BRM
Etc
Will be posting two videos soon.
I like the packdown size comparison and keen for more ideas! Keep them coming!
I really enjoyed your video. I’m looking forward to your next one.
I didn’t read the description when I watched it & only now read that you were involved with its’ development. I think it would be more honest to include that with your introductory dialogue (an oversight on the first video I’m sure) as I find the lack of integrity in reviews puts me off the brand. I was 100% going to purchase a Dwing as I thought you were just another frothing foiler however now am back on the fence.
For your next ones I’d like to see less water & more shorter clips deploying, stowing , & shorter upwind shots from someone filming you if possible. Cheers
VMG data would be interesting
I understand where you are coming from. I’m not sponsored by them and our relationship began when they saw these videos and began to ask me questions about what could be improved in the gear as they were creating their own parawing. My goal is to get involved with a parawinging company and I’ll definitely disclose that if it happens.
New video up on YouTube
Posted today an upwind/ downwind comparison with GPS analysis between BRM and Flow. On YouTube
I really enjoyed this video. Not sure why your original post is hidden now. There’s quite a few industry “players” posting on the forum and i value those opinions too. Good luck with getting more involved with the development. https://youtu.be/HR-6LZbFL_Q?si=tzd1FWpSLt7YFOLo
Getting censored here for whatever reason…
My guess would be this vid was already posted in the very active parawing thread here (or Greg has more pull than we thought). My only critique would be… while you’re driving, just pay attention and drive please. This is almost (but not quite) as bad as talking on the speaker phone on the bus or while walking in public.
Regardless, all opinions are appreciated here. You’re making the flow look quite good and I’d pick one up but logistics and taxes make that not worth it in my area.
Thanks for the review and disclaimer
-GPS track would be appreciated for objective comparison
-how’s the ease of folding up one vs the other
-have you tried them with a harness?
Hey man! Now that you’ve got an inside track with the brand, tell them to bring back the rainbow color scheme. I know I comment that on almost every single one of your videos you’ve posted
I’d love to support an Oz brand, but that new color scheme is a step backwards
The images at the end of the video are my GPS tracks overlayed onto each other
The BRM is easier to stow as it’s slightly smaller 4m compared to 4.2m from the Flow and the BRM uses a thinner material. This is marginal tho… haven’t found any trouble stowing either parawing.
I rode with a harness for a while but I prefer not to use it these days. I got used to the feeling of riding unhooked.
Definitely looks more stable when depowered but on a single skin that is usually achieved by keeping tension on the rear lines, no special magic involved. Does it have the same depower range as the BRM? I would guess not. You get used to the trim on the BRM and pretty much only go into that unstable flagged out mode when needed(overpowered). Watching the video you can see your deliberate when demonstrating the instability vs your stable riding upwind. And stow size is important to me as ideally this is mostly stowed away during the dw. BRM looks like it’s smaller with possibly less bridles. Ease of stowing and stow size are top attributes for me. Upwind angle looked really close as well. Without comparing multiple runs I would call that a tie.
Not trying to just defend my early adopter purchase, just trying to be objective for those considering which one to buy. Honestly until BRM drops the price the lower price point wings will win the trade I suspect.
The upwind angles posted in the video are significantly different. Multiplied by 8+ long reaches and you save 2 reaches.
…and next month there’ll be a new contender out that betters the upwind ability of the Flow. Be happy you got one at all :^)
Great video. Good clarification. I know nothing about kiting etc so was wondering what the lowest range of the 4.2 was. Does having a longer board help or hinder? I take it you are in the States? I was looking at your truck & wondering how you got away with such a new a LHD in Oz.
I also think admin should reinstate the original video. Nearly every thread that comes up first on this site each visit is for something for sale- at least this one is interesting & innovative & creates discussion
Lowest range of the 4.2m is 15kts for me. From around 15-18kts I’m on my ocean DW board which is a 8’2/19/115L. From 18kts+ I’m on my middy 5’10/18/85L.
I live in Melbourne Australia mate. I’m Brazilian but have a yankee accent
The van is a VW Transporter t6.1🤙
You should try the dyneema bungee harness loop I made. It allows a hybrid style of riding where you have the flexibility to move the bar around quite a bit without unhooking. I have the length set on mine so that a fully extended arm equals full support from the line. Once unhooked, the loop is only around 8” off the bar so it doesn’t get hung up on lines much and doesn’t effect packing away at all.
This bungee also allows hooking in while sitting on the board and getting going with one arm in strong wind easily.
