Front wing hall of fame

I think foiling has now been around long enough for a few of those ‘special’ wings to have identified themselves as legends of our sport. I wanna put it to a vote. The flavour: wings that changed the game, stayed relevant way longer than the others and (within reason) still are sought after. for the moment only front foils. everyone gets 2 nominations. I’ll tally after a few weeks.

my nominations:
kujira 1440
gofoil gl180

Lift 120 and Takuma 1095

Both wings were a full generation ahead of all competition when they were released and are still ahead of most companies best wings today.

I guess we cant count the Eagle out even tho its very current.

It’s hard for current wings to stand out, but some lift, many takuma, and art wings were leaps I’d say.

Lift 200 classic. GoFoil Iwa. (never rode the iwa personally)

EDIT: lift 120 ha is the obvious answer. I never liked the 120 personally. So it annoys me that all companies are still trying to recreate their own version.

Lift 120 HA for sure

In no particular order:
GoFoil Kai (for starting all of it)
That original Neil Pryde ($599 setup) & GoFoil IWA because that’s what every OG prone foiler learned on
Takuma 1210 (first mainstream do-it-all wing for ~185-210lb people)
Lift 120 (first mainstream do-it-wing for ~120-155lb people)
Axis 1150 (for dock starts, had the longest reign)
It’s too new, but the Progression wings will probably be in there too. It’s the first wing to focus on low energy and high performance fun. A total different direction from Armstrong, F-One, Cab, AFS, Axis, etc… The proof is that nobody had uni a year ago in our area and now half of our ~25+ person prone crew has now switched.

I’m too new to vote but this is a hell of an idea for a thread. Might need one for worst wings of all time… hall of shame.
