Good progress! My further input would be that catching bumps then becomes 100% about timing, and you are certainly ready to go catch bumps. I have been doing my first few sessions in bumps and it becomes obvious pretty quickly that timing is everything and the few where I have got up easily have been a few short hard strokes to get up to speed and then a few more to pop up.
