Manta 850 vs flux 808

I’m 180 and a decent prone foiler. Currently ride code 980s on small days 850s on good days. And 1300 trying to not suck at parawing.

Anybody have any suggestions on flux 808 and 1010? I never got to ride the final versions just a prototype. I ask is have been seeing the manta lately and before I pull the trigger on a new system I was hoping I could get some advice. I have some powerful turns but lack in endurance. I will usually connect 4-6 waves but my back lag will be destroyed by then if I’m really pushing through turns. I prone most days but I am starting to really like parawing and hoping it really opens up some downwind and out reef wave riding as I progress.

Haven’t ridden either, so an outsider’s perspective.

F4 has 2 lines of foils. So if you want more glide it’ll be easier to switch to a different foil and get it.

Flitelab only has the flux so far. So you’ll be able to try a different size, but not go to a different foil line until they release their next line.

I’m a Code rider but have had a few sessions on the Flux 808 and 707. Both lovely foils with great roll and silky smooth feel with decent pump for the size.

Having said that if you’re expecting a drastic improvement over something like the 980S (or even the 850s) for pump and glide I think you’re going to be disappointed, certainly not worth a complete system change IMO.

I haven’t ridden either either. Either the Manta or the Flux seem similar, so pick either one. This is a fun discussion!
