MIami in December

Hi,

I am spending New years Eve in Miami this year. Its a 10 days family trip but I was wondering if it was worth it to bring along my prone gear . We are staying at Sunny Isles Beach. I have rented a car and we will be visiting other beaches .

Any advice would be appreciated!

Great time to be in Miami.

Miami waves are rarely groundswell, typically knee to waist weak windswell. It’s great for winging though, highly recommended.

Crandon on Key Biscayne is great, Dania pier is great, and there are a bunch of spots up and down miami beach and Hollywood that are good. I’ve ridden cruise ship wakes coming out of port that is super fun.

great, then I am going to bring it with me.Foil drive is aloud every where or just prone?

Hi guys,so is three days now to my trip.I haven’t been able to get a travel battery here or n Miami,no shops or even real water sports answering.

With the forecast in hand do you thing it’s worth to bring the foil with me ,no wing( I have plenty of that here) and no Foil drive since I can’t bring my batteries, just prone

I can check my stuff free of charge

I am in Hallandale Beach (3 miles north of sunny isles) and this year has been not good at all. There are no real waves in sunny isles only wind generated chop. It has been quiet recently here with just few cold fronts pushing through. I would go Jupiter or Delray to get more or less ok waves. Looking at the forecast for the next 10 days, things look quiet for S Florida unless you go more N.

do you know where could i get a Slim travel battery ?

maybe ask these guys https://finandfoilusa.com

Fin and foil will likely rent you batteries but they are up in Stuart/Fort Pierce which is where you want to be for wave riding anywhere. This is 2 hours north of Miami.
