New KT boards-the tariffs are working...?

Just saw the pricing for the V2 KT Super K of $2600. I know my next board will be a custom made! -Reminds me of when Clark Foam shut down and surfboards jumped overnight from $350 to $700. Didn’t seem to phase too many people. Maybe this won’t be a big deal to most foil fanatics?

I think that is just normal price since tariff between Thailand and US is still in negotiations. Consider it’s made in Thailand, I’m still shock how expensive the big brands are charging.

Definitely noticed some new foil products that are now out of my price range.

I think it goes back to dw boards, turns out people were willing to pay 2500, and then the mid length category tagged along with that price point

Well, I’m saving $2600 by not buying one, so there’s that…

Check the new construction and weight of the pro-version, you won’t find a custom similar to that.

Otherwise the normal version is also super light, and price like last model.

Priced like last model? The new version (90ltr) is $2200 for the standard construction and last year was $1800 for the “carbon” construction on sale now for $1450 Last years board was listed as 12.75 lbs and this years is 12.1 (+/-7.5% tollerance!) and the “pro” is 10.3 lbs. For $2600 there is a lot of mark up from the factory to the distributor to the retailer. I know the Jimmy Lewis production boards are better built in terms of components than a custom. Are you saying this is true for KT also?

Pretty similar yes. Last model (92 L) was 1895 euro in Europe, the new carbon construction 90 L is 1970 euro in Europe. There is also a lighter Pro Carbon version now, and it’s 2390 euro.
