New Unifoil Aggression foil

Alright, I’ll start it. Man, that thing looks like what we all started on! I imagine that shape with modern foil sections could be REALLY fun. Has anyone tried it yet? I wonder what the pump is like.

The vortex is the old foil, I believe the new MA will be called something else (Aggression?). It sounds like it’ll have an aspect between the Vyper and Progression, likely similar to the Armstrong MA.

Oh duh! Thanks, I’ll change the title. I’m still pumped to learn about it!

What looks like production Tow and (MA?) Surf wings have been tested since Feb. I assumed they were waiting for AWSI to announce them. Any news? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGFNhFiKRws/?igsh=eDQ3MG8yejQ5b3A=

They aren’t even in AWSI this year it seems

No doubt spent the marketing budget on shutlles and demo gear for the growing “ambassadors” army and can’tafford a booth. Still, would have expected something to be released by now

Google indexed this at some point. At least one of the sizes coming

As with everything, ride it if you can.

The brain child of Brian, it surfs incredibly well. Surprising amount of pump for the size and shape. Curious to hear reviews from other people who have ridden them.

as anyone ridden this wing? Any comparisons out there?

They are available for pre order. Not sure what that mean’s….

The Vyper was so fun back in the day. Could this be as good as the Sk8 or FlightLab or the new Code X?

I spent a week with them in Chicama. Really really good. Can’t compare to the ones you listed but really enjoyed them in waves with good energy. Rode the 105 mostly, in waves waist to almost double overhead. Handled it all, sweet spot for it seemed to be about head high for me at 85 kg. Surprising amount of pump could link 4 for 1. Paired really well with the afterburner tail. Good speed to make it through fast sections.

Happy to answer any other specific questions you might have.

Could you make quick turns on head high waves without having to safety surf? Hows the pitch stability when turning?

You can generate a lot of different sensations by setting it up differently. The better riders in our group tended to prefer the short fuse with either a chopped 14.5, or the 14 afterburner for rail to rail turns in smaller conditions, and the med for chest or above. You can push it as hard as your skill level will allow. Rather than safety surfing it was actually surprising how hard it was to get the tips out for a forced breach. I think part of that is coming off riding HA wings to the smaller span.

Was this on the 105 or the larger sizes?

What fuse/stab combo did you prefer on the 105?

Im wondering how the 105 would pair/overlap with the 115 Evo. Considering it for kite foil and overhead prone days.

The 105. I’m about 190lbs.

I really liked the chopped 14.5 PP but I think the afterburner was even better.

The 115 evo is a HA wing at the end of the day. It’s going to ride differently. I think the aggression will be better for the powered kite foiling. The aggression will also be better in the pocket, and in steeper sections whereas the evo will be more snowboard powder turns a bit further out on the face.

Also depends on your weight/skill/conditions.

Any more reviews on the aggression?

I asked Brian about this comparison and he stated that the 115 tops out early for its size and the 105 would be able to handle much bigger waves, speed and opens up carving on bigger waves.

They were also testing what looked like a production tow wing in February already. Wonder if that’s still coming or we’ll get smaller Aggression sizes instead.
