Please sign up to the NSW, Australia Foil Club. It’s free, and you don’t need to be in the area to be a member. Boosting the ranks helps for arguments around access etc.

This is a a club to allow NSWFoilClub to get insurance to run contests in NSW Australia. They want to run contests to show that foiling is not dangerous. If they can have a record of no injuries at the foil contests, then they can fight the foil ban in Sydney Australia. They need 1000 members minimum to be able to apply for the insurance.
Josh Ku said in one of his Instagram posts that this information will not be sold. They need it to provide data to the city councils.
It’s more than just prone foiling too. They can’t run DW races without the insurance. They are currently attaching the foil races to the ski races over there. The problem with that is the ski races go off in the morning typically and are on a set date with no waiting period. At least 2 of the last 3 DW races I’ve seen clips from, were in no wind. Just swell. So the logistics to build the sport of foiling, even out in the ocean away from other beach goers is pretty hard without NSWFoilClub getting up and running.
Big high-fives to our foil rockstars: Josh, Jeremy, Simon Ranson, Jordan Gilbert, and the legend herself, Lisa Ranson! These guys are the brains behind NSW Foil Club, turning our foil dreams into reality.
Lisa’s been the superwoman leading this charge, and we can’t thank her enough.
Let’s show some love and support for these amazing people making our sport awesome. And hey, if you’re not already part of this cool club, what are you waiting for? Dive in, sign up, and let’s make some waves together!
It’s not clear what we are signing up for and why, but I did anyway hopefully it helps! (would be great not to need to put all the personal details if we are just signing up for a mailing list or whatever)

It would be great for them to support international events too with guidance etc. We are looking at joining the ski races for UK but mostly crap conditions with bad angles, and I know even the ski race hosts struggle with meeting safety requirements etc
