Ok… so who is making a cool hi-viz PFD with a large, open stash pocket on the front for parawing?
This seems sensible to me… so we don’t need all these different products. Combo for the win.

people were pretty keen on the car mesh net wrapped around the front panel of the PFD for a while, haven’t actually seen it in use in any videos though.
Just got hassled by the DNR cops at the takeout for not having a life jacket. They told me my foil board is a vessel.

We you in the sound or the ocean? I’m also in NC and have had the Coast Guard pull up to me in the ocean to check on me. If I’m riding offshore, I wear the Vaikobi PFD. It’s not U.S. Coast Guard approved but they haven’t made an issue of that yet. I don’t typically wear a PFD in the sound given that it’s hard to imagine getting into too much trouble. That would be frustrating if they start enforcing that on flat water.
I was coming in from a downwinder across the upper Albemarle sound. Midway boat ramp to albemarle beach. The officer was nice enough and said he wasn’t going to ticket me but told me that “technically” I was required to have one because the board is considered a vessel when I am using a sail or wing. I was not trying to argue and said I thought it was considered a board like a surf board but he said it was not.
In my area the CG is OK with no pfd if you have a kite, wing or parawing (or surfing), but for some reason you need a pdf with a sup. I got escorted back to shore by a boat with lights blazing and everything. No ticket, but a stern warning. Pretty arbitrary. I never wear a pdf with a parawing, but would be happy to wear one if it weren’t obtrusive or constricting.
be nice to see Vaikobi make a stealthy parawing specific PFD with backpack and stash belt harness hook belt all in one as my Ozone mission pack will not work with my Vaikobi V4 or at least make a similar to V4 with back pack option to carry a PW hope Vaikobi gets the message
