What gloves are you wearing? SUP paddle keeps ripping them

I’m on my second pair of gloves in 2 months, granted I’m learning to DW so doing a lot more paddling than most SUP guys. Have friends with the same issue, Jersey water’s cold this time of year and gloves aren’t cheap. Thumb on my bottom hand keeps tearing on the neoprene itself, another buddy has top hand seams coming apart constantly. anyone having similar issues or find gloves that are more durable? Going to dip the torn thumbs in rubber cement and if it holds up that just might what I have to do that with brand new gloves as a preventative measure.

QB ono ava grip is rough iykyk, are those paddles just glove eaters or are you guys experiencing this with other paddles as well

Get some Aquaseal FD repair and fix them (should work better then rubber cement), or maybe put some on preventatively

I’ll order some up and try it out, Thanks!

The patagonia regulator gloves have been great for me. I’m using the R2, probably a hundred sup surfing sessions on them over several years with no issue

Maybe also consider the Mystic open palm gloves. I got them for winging and they work well to keep the wind chill off. They won’t wear out

Patagonia stuff holds up awesome I’ll have to check those out, Thanks!
