So you are alright with a US consumer being charged a tariff but you get upset thinking that Canadian companies are charging US companies tariffs? If I didn’t have a problem spending more money I would not have purchased from Gong, which is half the price because it’s direct to consumer. And by the way, $1600 is what it cost for me to travel to Honduras, twice, for dental mission trips. So I absolutely understand about first and third world country problems.

Look brah, i don’t care its all beyond my control and your control. Trump, Biden, Obama, Trudeau and who whoever the next President is. Whay tney do i can’t control. I just find it funny that we have the ability to buy expensive toys while others couldn’t fathom spending $6000 on a Foil Drive…so, do Tariffs and shit sucks sure but im not gonna go whine and rant about it.

A Haole is a white person who destroyed the paradise that was once Hawaii by compelling Haole religion and customs and ultimately buying out the land. I visit, act courteously, enjoy the privilege of being there, and leave. I am not ashamed to participate in a sport I love, and feel no need to suffer financially, have my consumer choices removed, or live with fear that mine and others rights to freedoms are being lost. There are many arguments why governments should subsidize certain industries within their country. Tarrifs can be done judiciously. And so on.
You can and should stand up for your rights and whining about it is one of the first steps into rallying support to change the political powers in the Senate and Congress at a local level that will ultimately handcuff those making impulsive and irrational changes to our democracy and commerce.

I learned the quickest way to rile someone up is politics, for some reason it just sparks a fire inside every person, i try not to pay attention…but as you can see, it happened anyways. Now, back to our expensive foil lifestyle eh

Slingshot, Gong, KT, and Axis are all out of China.
Maybe there should be disclosure on where our gear comes from.

everybody know that in france for gong at least it’s even a regular joke we call that “chinoiserie” , even if assembled in france most of the materials come from china so yep, people dont realise.
Lift’s factory is in Puerto Rico, not sure how much of their stuff comes from China.
