Amos Kruzer v.2 - any reviews on the new Amos Kruzer vs the first model

Seems to be a pretty substantial re-design between the new and old models. Has anyone tried both? I’m likely committing to the V.2 but AUD $1900 is a fair whack!

That video on the YouTube’s had me wanting one too…..

Have had a few sessions on the 5’6” Pro.

I think the easiest way to explain it is that it does exactly what it’s designed to do. Watch Josh Ku’s three (plus the party wave) videos closely ‘cause that’s what you get.

This is a very refined step forward from an already impressive board. It will increase your wave count which in turn increases your time on foil and that’s what will make you a better foiler.

I wonder if the 50L could work for parawinging… certainly has the length :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Agreed, but it’s Josh Ku so I’m just going to disregard it when assessing what I could do with that board haha

Thanks mate. I’m looking at the 5’9’” pro. Trying to decide whether I need the extra volume of the standard model but 50L is huge and I don’t want to upgrade too soon. Is the paddling on the pro model as good as they make it look? If so, seems to me the extra 12L for the standard is just unnecessary swing weight

I hear you…:slightly_frowning_face: but hope springs eternal :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

I’m 87kg and 52 years old, I find the 5’6” super easy to paddle. It gets into waves very early, is very stable and I find it super easy to turn and pump. I don’t want to speak on Josh’s behalf but I’d be fairly confident he’s aimed this board at a very large market from absolute beginners to rippers.

In my opinion, keeping the Kruzer thin is what’s made it so good.

Thanks - i reckon the surface area is more important and 5’9” by 20” should have plenty of paddle power already. So I’ll go with the thinner pro model

I haven’t tried v2 yet but have used v1 kruzer 5’8 for couple years mostly prone, dimensions always felt perfect. It’s 3’’ thick which is same as v2 regular. So the pro is super thin, and maybe just for ultra strong paddlers and not average joe ? Personally id want similar dimensions to v1 as its such an epic board, so would go 5’6 regular v2

very interest in comparison of unifoil quickver (portal)and Kruzer.

Again, can only compare to v1 kruzer but also owned quiver killer which was a much thicker board. Kruzer feels more surfboard like with dimensions and much nicer connection to foil
